Product Videographer & Editor
Job Purpose: The purpose of the Product Videographer role is to create high-quality, conversion-driven product videos that clearly showcase product features, benefits, and quality across all customer-facing and internal channels. This role ensures consistent, on-brand visual storytelling that supports sales performance, product clarity, and cross-functional business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This is the dedicated, full-cycle video production role that owns all product videography for the company. You are the central creative and execution hub for video assets across the organization—handling requests from product managers, packaging designers, quality control, Amazon sales/channel specialists, marketing, and leadership. You manage the entire process from initial request intake through final delivery, ensuring videos are optimized for high conversion on Amazon listings, A+ Content, website product pages, social media, email campaigns, ads, and internal use cases.
Duties will include:
Field and prioritize incoming video requests from cross-functional teams, clarifying objectives (e.g., main product video for Amazon compliance, feature close-ups, lifestyle demos, unboxings, 360° spins, problem-solution narratives, packaging highlights, or QC defect demos).
Translate vague or high-level briefs into actionable plans: develop concepts, shot lists, storyboards, timelines, and format recommendations tailored to platform specs (Amazon video guidelines, vertical social formats, square thumbnails, etc.).
Coordinate pre-production logistics: schedule shoots, prepare products (collaborating with QC for flawless samples and packaging for presentation), source props, set up studio/lighting/audio, and handle any needed talent or direction.
Execute on-set filming: operate cameras and equipment for professional-grade footage, including macro details, dynamic angles, consistent branding lighting, clean product staging, and in-use/lifestyle scenarios.
Handle full post-production: edit raw footage in Premiere Pro (or equivalent), apply color grading, sound design/mixing, motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and effects; optimize for file size, resolution, and platform requirements.
Manage revision cycles: review feedback from stakeholders, implement adjustments quickly and efficiently, and deliver finalized versions with proper versioning/naming.
Maintain the video asset library: organize, archive, and upload files to shared systems for easy team access.
Stay current on e-commerce video best practices, Amazon A+ updates, lighting/macro techniques, and editing tools to keep output at industry-leading quality.
